Veganic farming at the Montreal Vegan Festival

Stéphane Groleau will give a talk in French about Urban Vegan Agriculture on November 6, 2016 at 4:15 during the Montreal Vegan Festival.

All weekend, we will also have an information booth about veganic agriculture. Come talk with us!

Description of the talk
Urban agriculture keeps growing across the globe. Unfortunately, this practice often relies on animal exploitation, sometimes unknowingly. Yet growing food in a city without animal exploitation is not only possible, but also desirable. Issues related to urban agriculture (fertilizers, crop materials, chickens, bees) will be discussed and ideas to grow healthy local food without synthetic inputs or animal products will be proposed.

Speaker
Co-founder of the Veganic Agriculture Network, Stéphane Groleau is passionate about alternative approaches to food and farming that are respectful of the planet, people and animals. He grew up on a dairy farm and studied anthropology and then organic agriculture. The translator of the French version of the book Permaculture: A Beginner’s Guide, he is also an eco-filmmaker, musician and webmaster.
