International veganic networks
Following the lead of the U.K.-based Vegan Organic Network, there are now international networks serving different parts of the world.
Vegan Organic Network United Kingdom and international
The Vegan Organic Network, started in 1996, is based in the United Kingdom. By joining their network, members receive Growing Green International magazine twice a year. Growing Green International highlights veganic farming and gardening projects in the U.K. and around the world, and also contains articles of interest to veganic growers.
The Vegan Organic Network’s website, www.veganorganic.net, contains information about the principles of veganics, the Stock-Free Organic Certification for plant-based farms, and much more.
BioVegaN Germany and Austria
BioVegaN is a German-language network that promotes plant-based agriculture in Germany and Austria. BioVegaN is related to the Vegan Organic Network. The website www.biovegan.org is only published in German, although many of the ideas can be understood with the help of an internet translator.
Vegeculture Quebec and French-language countries
Vegeculture, www.vegeculture.net, was created by Stephane Groleau, (co-founder of the Veganic Agriculture Network), to bring awareness about vegan organic farming and gardening in the French language. Much of the writing can be understood with an internet translator. Vegeculture also features a short photojournal of Stephane’s self-fertilizing garden in Quebec from 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Veganic Agriculture Network North America
The Veganic Agriculture Network, www.goveganic.net, was formed in 2008 to promote plant-based farming and gardening in North America. Started by a small group of Canadians, this network is closely associated with the Vegan Organic Network in the U.K., as Stephane Groleau is their Canadian contact and frequently writes for their magazine.
In the future, we hope to see more information available about veganic agriculture in different languages and on other continents.
If you would like to start a veganic network in another part of the world, email us and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.
If you speak another language and are interested in translating content for our network or any of the above networks, please contact us. For the Veganic Agriculture Network, we are especially interested in having the content translated into Spanish, but welcome translations into any language.
